This year the AHHBA attended the Scone Horse Festival once again. It was a weekend of Australian tradition as the Scone Horse Parade celebrated it’s 37th year. Horses of all breeds attended the parade and there was a large array of horse activities to attend including, polo, tent pegging, The Guy McLean Show, the Hunt Club and of course the parade. There is also a huge rodeo and party usually but this year the construction of the new horse stadium at White Park delayed the rodeo until next year and have promised a bigger and better venue to hold future events.
The haflingers always draw attention from crowds and we are hoping that more haflinger owners join us in the 2019 Scone Parade next May. Owners may ride, lead or drive their horses or event walk in the parade as a banner of flag bearer. Let’s get these beautiful horses into the public eye and also offer an opportunity for AHHBA members to get together for some fun.
